My Space

I don't get it. I do not see the attraction to having a My Space page. I realize that I risk pissing off a lot of people here, but I have glanced at the site, I have looked at a few of the profiles, but according to what I have seen, 99% of the people who use My Space are 22 or under. If you are over 25 and not in a band, you look silly having a My Space page.

But that is just my personal opinion, and what do I know.

It's nice to be able to catch up on friends who have been missing for a while, but a My Space page is largely a waste of time. It's basically the internet's version of a really sleazy pick up joint.

Thank you. You described it better than I ever could. That is exactly how it comes across.

I do not do MySpace. You don't need to see pictures of me. Nor am I in a band.

I do MySpace mainly to stalk my children. It is a useful tool in finding out what they're up to and also to leave comments such as, "Hey, would it kill ya to call your mom?"

They blab everything on MySpace...sorta of like I do in my blog.

= )

Nina, that is a totally evil genius way to use myspace.

I wish I had thought of that.

I wish my kid was old enough to use Myspace so I could do that to her.

sigh.

I got a MySpace page cuz people at work had one. Unless you really are a social butterfly, or an emo kid, then it's really kind of pointless. I pretty much use it for photohosting and that's about all.

Actually Kevin, I have to give you credit, that is pretty clever, to use their servers to store your photos.

At Thanksgiving my aunt gave my cousin (her son) much grief for having a MySpace page. He is pushing 30 and married. He said he used it to keep up with old school friends.
