JC has given me an XM Satellite Radio for my birthday. My birthday is two months away, but he already ordered it and the subscription started, so he gave it to me early. I don't know much about satellite radio besides what I've seen when we ride in his car, but I love the comedy channels. Blasting classical music is going to take on a whole new meaning now (although he has informed me that he would appreciate it if I turn it off when he gets home, the putz).
The radio has a hookup for my car and a docking station for the house, so I am set wherever I happen to be.
Are there commercials on satellite radio or is the no commercial thing just a myth?

There are no commercials on the music stations, but are commercials on the talk show stations. You will LOVE satellite radio! I couldn't get enough of it!

Sometimes, they play old commercials and newscasts on the decade stations.
However, you will find that some stations, particularly The Groove, have very, very short playlists. As in you hear the same songs night after night.
It didn't used to be that way before the two companies (Sirius and XM) merged and they started cutting costs.
I just spent the last hour on the telephone with them trying to activate an account that was supposedly already activated and paid for.
