Kid Stuff

I am a sucker when it comes to children's books. I tend to love em, even though my kids are too old for them anymore. They still catch my eye when I'm in the bookstore.

What a great list! Sure brought back a lot of memories going through it, and it made me realize how many everyday expressions that I use came from those books. "Are you going to eat it or wear it?" (me to Ryan when he spills food all over himself - from Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing).

I was a bit surprised to see no Enid Blyton or Gordon Korman on the list, and that The Phantom Tollhouse didn't make it in.

You can probably tell I am a Mercer Mayer fan. I bought every single one of those books for my kids when they were small.

I have set a goal to read every book on the list.

You MUST read "A Wrinkle in Time".
We read it as a class in like, 5th or 6th grade. I was spellbound.

I'll put that one at the top of the list. As soon as I get off my arse and head to Barnes & Noble, I'll look for it.

Thanks for the tip. :)
