Reflections on a Changing Life

After my divorce, I was in a long term relationship with a man that I thought could do no wrong. If ever the sun rose and set on someone, it was that man. Unfortunately, the feeling wasn't as mutual as I would have liked it to be. I found myself rejected by him on a regular basis, with me being left in tears. Quite often I felt like a child, having to beg for attention. The thing is, and I can't believe I only just realized this after the relationship was over, but if a person has to beg for attention, that isn't love... that isn't a real relationship. It was a fantasy, doomed from the start. The longer I am out of the relationship, the clearer it becomes.

Real love doesn't have to beg.

P.S.: Yes I remembered my deoderant today, thanks for asking. ;-)
